A lineman who runs the 40 in 4.6 can do a lot of things for a football team and that’s what Jacob Tizzard brings to the table as our Male Athlete of the Day.  The 6’1″ 205-pound lineman isn’t the biggest interior player on NSR roster of football athletes, but he has proven to be a valuable asset to his Apple Valley High Schoolteam the last two years being named All-League both years.   A quintessential student-athlete, Jacob carries a 3.6 GPA and plans to enter Pre-Law.  His NSR scout is Frank Steele, San Bernardino AD, who says, “Here is what you will get with Jacob Tizzard: Strength 350lb BP, speed 4.6, relentless motor, fierce hitter, very smart and doesn’t let his aggression get him trapped, very confident.  I have seen 4 or 5 of Jacob’s games in the last two years and it just seems he is in or around every tackle. Jacob plays where his team needs him without question, OL/DL/LB/C. He was All-League Offensive Lineman 2010 and Lineman of the Year in a very tough California high school league.”  In Jacob’s essay to college coaches, he says, “I know the value of hard work and I am truly committed and dedicated to the sport I love. I have been taught leadership as well as knowing how to set the example for others. I try all the time to bring positive energy to the situation at hand.  I aspire to reach my goals through the power of consistency, integrity, dedication and very hard work.”
