Krystin Kubo, 2012 softball outfielder from Hawaii and our Female Athlete of the Day, has signed with Weber State
Our Female Athlete of the Day is Krystin Kubo, a 2012 softball player from Leilehua High School in Wahiawa, Hawaii. The 5’5″ outfielder carries a very impressive 4.0 GPA and will pursue Denistry. She recently signed to play for Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Her NSR scouting report speaks to her all-around abilities: “Krystin is a good hitter that hits for average and power. She is able to hit the ball to all fields and is also a very good bunter. She is an outfielder and gets a good jump on the ball and has an accurate, strong arm. She is a steady and reliable player. “ Speaking to college coaches in her essay, Krystin says, “Every year I play, I push myself to be the best player I can be. I find myself working harder, trying new things and striving to be the best that I can be. Not only do I push myself in athletics, I work very hard in my academics as well. I feel it is very important to focus on my academics to become successful in life. Softball has taught me the meaning of leadership, hard work, responsibility, sportmanship, perfection and the power of competition that makes me the person I am today, always striving to be at my best.”
