Respect – you earn it with results… Central and Western North Carolina NSR has earned the respect of regional college coaches from every level. In the past three years, in fact, we have helped to place prospects in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and NJCAA programs. Our success depends in large measure on the relationships we build with these coaches.

Recruiting evaluation stages… As scouts, we do not determine which level our prospects will play in college. College coaches do that through a series of evaluations. The first is on paper when they discover if the prospect seemingly fits their athletic needs and academic requirements. The second evaluation typically occurs when coaches review prospects on video tape. If the prospect looks good on tape, only then will coaches consider spending money to travel and see the prospect play in person. If the player impresses a coach in person, there is a final litmus test – an official visit where the coaches and team spend time getting acquainted with the prospect to see if there is a “fit.” If a prospect passes all that scrutiny, a scholarship might be offered. From start to end, this process takes time and effort.

Building a relationship with college coaches… College coaches appreciate us because we do more than simply post promotional information on a Web site. We communicate regularly with them about their specific needs; we coordinate unofficial visits; and we get videotape in their hands. Moreover, we are honest about our prospects' abilities and only pass along players who can realistically play for that coach at that level. This sort of intense involvement results is strong and lasting relationships between NSR and college coaches.
