The Great Eight… is one of the state's most prestigious volleyball tournaments and gets the high school season off to an exciting start. Central and Western North Carolina NSR is very excited to be the annual event's sole sponsor. Pitting the previous year's finalists from each of four classifications, The Great Eight is the perfect format for recognizing the accomplishments of eight terrific squads in addition to providing a morning clinic for volleyball hopefuls of all ages. Great Smokies Shootout… continues a tradition as one of the nation's top YBOA basketball events. With over 225 teams participating, The Basketball Club of Western North Carolina has established a southern tradition for a great round ball weekend as teams from across the region compete in age groups ten through eighteen, boys and girls. Central and Western North Carolina NSR ' affiliation is heading into its third year by sponsoring the four gymnasiums at UNC Asheville. When you see the Great Smokies Shootout, think NSR.

NSA College Showcase Tournaments… have grown in success the last three years. Our working relationship with the National Softball Association has led to a partnership that presents two showcase events each year, summer and fall. By conducting pre-tournament educational seminars and providing college coaches with vital player information, Central and Western North Carolina NSR has helped NSA carve out a much needed niche for high school softball players aspiring to play in college.
