Gary is one of the most successful scouts in NSR history, earning the company's highest honor, the Bob Rigney Founder's Award, in 2021. One of the senior members of the organization, he rejoined the NSR family in 2014 as Area Director of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. A former National Vice President and Area Director of Florida from 1988-93, he worked with hundreds of college prospects in the Sunshine State before returning home to Pennsylvania. Since that time, he has helped hundreds of prospects in the Tri-State area get heavily recruited and earn millions in college scholarships. A native of Delaware County and graduate of Haverford High School and Penn State University, he spent two decades as Executive Sports Editor of the Bucks County (PA) Courier Times and South Jersey Courier-Post overseeing coverage of pro sports, college sports and more than 100 high schools. During that time, he created and chaired two of the largest 5K races in the Philadelphia area - the Sesame Place Classic and Clementon Park and Splash World Classic - to help raise more than $300,000 in college scholarships for top scholar-athletes. Helping high school athletes reach the next level not only has been a career but also a passion for him.

Coach Justin comes to NSR with 6 years of experience in newspaper media, he worked as a local sports editor for the Morning Call in Allentown, PA, covering Eastern PA football. During his time at DeSales University studying Sport Management, he spent a football season under Andy Coen as an intern at Lehigh University in 2017, assisting with game day and recruiting operations. Since then Coach Justin hasn’t looked back, he spent his time after DeSales and Lehigh University working as a recruiting coordinator helping over 250 families in their quest to find their right fit college. Where you’ll find Coach Justin?Near the end zone or along the fence at a football game & behind home plate at the softball fields, but I promise you won’t miss him in his NSR gear !

From Pennsylvania high school ball, to Division III All-American and currently a professional player, my knowledge and expertise in volleyball is extensive. Therefore, I am thrilled to be an NSR Scout to help kids achieve these same dreams. I have been playing volleyball competitively for over 17 years, starting club as a 5th grader. I played all through middle school into high school, and was a 2 time PIAA All-State player as well as Player of the Year my senior year. I was recruited and committed to Kean University in Union, NJ where I played DIII ball. From there, I was selected to many honors, including AVCA All-American. During my last year at Kean, I was scouted by a professional team and currently still play for Team Freedom Volleyball Club. On top of my playing knowledge comes 7 plus years of coaching, currently at William Tennent High School.

Attended James Madison University on a baseball scholarship where he was a D1 All-American selection and First Team All-Conference (CAA). Received a Bachelors Degree majoring in kinesiology and minoring in business. Played professionally with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Ottawa Champions before career-ending knee injuries. Has an extensive coaching and recruiting background with an expertise in evaluating athletes and their specific skill sets.

As an NSR scout, Coach Jerry passionately strives to help qualified student-athletes fulfill their dreams of competing at the collegiate level. Throughout the past 30 years, he has served as a youth sports and softball coach with experience at the middle and high school levels as well as with local Division II and Division III colleges. In his most recent role as an Assistant Coach with Ursinus College, Coach Jerry was primarily involved with prospective player evaluation and recruitment. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Drexel University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph’s University, and has worked successfully with young people for over 30 years as a teacher and school administrator. Coach Jerry enjoys spending leisure time with his half-marathon-running wife, three sports-crazed sons, and athletic dog.
