College Scouts are on the ground in Western Arizona.

The staff at NSR is dedicated to finding scholarship opportunities for athletes in Western Arizona that possess the talent, desire, and motivation to compete at the collegiate level. We provide athletic evaluations, academic guidance, and an in-depth education on the recruiting process. Upon successful evaluation and qualification into our program, National Scouting Report will provide the appropriate link between the student athlete and over 2,000 colleges and universities across the country.

NSR prides itself on having scouts on the ground across the country and around the world, checking out our prospects firsthand and making sure they are the quality athletes that we are proud to represent. If you see an NSR scout at your next event, be sure to ask them any questions you may have about college recruiting, and how NSR can help secure the futures of young athletes.

My name is Ryan Sowards. I played collegiate basketball and baseball before being drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers. My entire life has revolved around sports. It’s why I enjoy working with young athletes who dream of making the next big step.I look forward to connecting with families and showing you the benefits of NSR. It’s a must-have tool for improving your eligibility, getting noticed, and being offered an athletic scholarship.  A little background on me - I grew up in Bothell, Washington outside of Seattle. My entire childhood was sports: baseball, basketball, soccer, gymnastics, and cross country. There was no favorite sport. I loved whatever sport was in season and trained to be the best.My dad always said, “When you are not practicing, remember - that someone somewhere else is and when you meet him, he will win.”I trained daily because I wanted to win and hated to lose. Plus, I knew my parents couldn’t afford college even at a young age. As I got older, I focused on basketball and baseball because of the scholarship opportunities. More than 15 colleges, Division One and Division Two, recruited me throughout my high school career. By my junior year of high school, I was offered a full-ride basketball scholarship to Seattle Pacific University (D2). I played college basketball but still had bigger dreams. I left SPU after my freshman year to pursue my dream of playing professional baseball. I enrolled at Walla Walla Community College in Washington and was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers within a year.My professional baseball career lasted three years before opting to finish my education. I reenrolled at SPU and was offered a full-ride basketball scholarship again. I know what an amazing experience college athletics can be and I’m experienced with the recruiting process. Now I’m a dad to two young athletes. Sports remains a daily theme between coaching and supporting my kids. Let me help support your athletes by improving their chances of earning an athletic scholarship to the school of their dreams.
