Getting Started
The NSR Game Plan: We want you to succeed, and if you follow our plan, you will get positive results. Our experience in contacting and working with college coaches since 1980 has taught us what they need to properly evaluate you as a prospect. Nothing is left to chance. From sending brochures, monthly emails, video links, matching you academically, and other complementary promotional efforts, we cover all the bases. But, we need your continued help for our process to have the optimum impact possible.
You only have this one chance to be recruited. It will not come along again. Make the most of it by following the NSR Game Plan, which describes in detail how to optimize your NSR experience. The following steps should occur after your proof has been approved and your information is live.

Step 1: NSR Signing Announcement + Annual Scout Review
Annual Service for ALL Programs | Annual Scout Review - All Pro, All American, All Star only
Your NSR scout will send an announcement notifying selected colleges that the prospect is now working with NSR. This announcement will include a scouting report detailing the prospect's abilities, along with a link to the prospect's online recruiting portal.
It is imperative that you provide complete information to NSR immediately. This should include pictures, statistics, honors, schedules, etc. This will be your first impression to college coaches, so it is very important to put your best foot forward. After you receive your Welcome Letter and before you approve your proof, you will be able to add and/or edit your NSR Recruiting Portal information.
Step 2: Regional Promotion
All Pro = 4 Per Year | All American & Platinum = 2 Per Year | All Star, Elite, & Transfer = 1 Per Year
The Regional Promotion is an effective method for matching you in various key ways to colleges in selected regions. This is an email that is sent out on your behalf to college coaches who meet the criteria you list. This email appears as if it is coming directly from you and as coaches respond, that response goes directly to your email. We will use your Personal Message that you have on your website to address the coaches, so make sure your message reflects a positive image of yourself.
When you log into your portal, a drop-down will appear. The first box will be labeled Regional Promotion. Here you will choose your Regions and Divisions, your date(s) to send, and your subject line for your email to coaches. You may choose 2 Regions and as many Divisions as you would like. Follow the step-by-step instructions. If allowed more than one date per year, you do not have to choose all dates at this time. When you have completed the quota, a green check mark will appear. This is an annual service, and you will be alerted by a red when it is time for this promotion to be done again. You can check your Recruiting Activity to verify when your Regional Promotion was done. Be sure to check your email and answer any emails that coaches send back to you.
Step 3: Brochure Promotion
All Pro and Platinum = 50 Per Year | All American, All Star, Elite & Transfer = 25 | All Star = 25 Per Year
NSR will send your brochure to the coaches of your choice. This will go out with a cover letter from NSR.
When you log into your portal, a drop-down will appear. The second box will be labeled Brochure Promotion. Here, you will choose your 25/50 schools for your brochure to be mailed. Follow the step-by-step instructions. You do not have to choose all 25/50 at one time, but once you have completed the quota, a green check mark will appear. This is an annual service, and you will be alerted by a red when it is time for this promotion to be done again. You can check your Recruiting Activity to verify when your brochures were mailed out to coaches.
Step 4: Video Promotion
All Pro & Platinum = 100 Per Year | All American = 50 Per Year | All American, All Star, Elite & Transfer = 50 Per Year
NSR will email a direct link to access your video(s) to college coaches. Choose schools on the level of those which have shown you interest. They are sending you a signal that theirs is the level you belong. You may miss out on a solid opening somewhere else if you waste sending a video to a coach who will not seriously consider you as a prospect.
When you log into your portal, a drop-down will appear. The third box will be labeled Video Promotion. Here, you will choose your 50/100 schools for your video link to be emailed to the college coaches. Follow the step-by-step instructions. You do not have to choose all 50/100 at one time, but once you have completed the quota, a green check mark will appear. This is an annual service, and you will be alerted by a red when it is time for this promotion to be done again. You can check your Recruiting Activity to verify when your videos were sent.
Step 5: Sports Camp Recommendation
All Programs (Unlimited)
Anytime you plan to attend a camp on a college campus, let us know by filling out this form. NSR will send the link of your NSR website and NSR video footage to the coach or camp director. This is often very helpful to you and to the camp's instructors. We have found that the coaches value and appreciate this information prior to your arrival.
Submit this form no later than two weeks prior to the camp's opening date. Camps can be for teams or individuals. Be sure to provide the name and email address of the coach or camp director. You may utilize this service as many times as needed. Click the button below to get started.
Step 6: ACT/SAT Prep Course
All Programs (One Time)
NSR will provide an opportunity for the athlete to enroll in one
uScore Bronze Level ACT or
SAT prep course through uScore Test Prep as a one-time service. The uScore program will begin at the time the NSR athlete registers with uScore and will expire after one year or two practice tests are completed. When the athlete completes the uScore Bronze Level ACT or SAT prep course, the course will no longer be available. NSR athletes can choose to enroll in additional uScore programs at their discretion. When registering for uScore, please use the recruiting email associated with your NSR Recruiting Portal. The use of school email could filter some replies to spam.
Step 7: Nutritional Guidance
All Pro, All American, & Platinum Programs Only
College athletes train and fuel their bodies like professionals, and developing these habits early as a high school athlete can give you a powerful advantage in the recruiting process. Proper nutrition not only helps you feel better, but it also enhances your energy levels, mental focus, recovery time, and long-term performance. Step 8: Scholarship Search

You may qualify for any number of additional awards which do not pertain to athletics. NSR has researched and found several comprehensive websites that offer a simple and thorough way to search for non-athletic scholarship and grant money. All Pro & Platinum = Unlimited | All American = 3 Per Year | All Star, Elite, & Transfer = 1 Per Year
All footage must be accompanied by a Video Identification Form. This form allows our editors to quickly identify your footage as it goes through the editing process. Select the appropriate Video Identification Form for your contract (All-Pro, All-American, or All-Star Program). At the top of the form, you will find instructions from our editors. It is important for you to follow these in detail. Pay attention to each blank line provided. Fill each out clearly. In doing so, you will ensure that NSR editors will give you the professional product you desire and deserve.
NOTE: Approximately 20-25 clips or 5 minutes of edited footage is enough for a coach's initial evaluation of your abilities online. If you are emailing links to your video, please email to robert@nsr-inc.com and also make sure to attach your Video ID form with the video links. Please read NSR's Video Guidelines before submitting any video.

Step 10: Transfer Portal
All Pro & Platinum Only
Upon notifying NSR that you have officially entered The Transfer Portal, NSR will renew all services for up to 1 year. NSR renewal will be based on the services that were included in the student-athlete's original NSR Services Agreement. If NSR services have changed since the date of enrollment, NSR reserves the right to perform provided services as of the date of notification.
Step 11: College Commitment Celebration
1 Time Service
When you're ready to announce your college decision, we want to know! Click the button below and complete the form with your information. From there, NSR will create a College Commitment Celebration Graphic and announce your commitment via our social media channels, celebrating your decision to play at the next level. Be sure to follow NSR on Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) to see your announcement!
Step 12: Name, Image and Likeness
All Programs (Unlimited)
As a former NSR High School Athlete, NSR will provide you with a personalized link that will allow you to participate in the NSR Name, Image & Likeness program. As a part of this program, you will be asked to make social media posts that promote your time as an NSR Athlete and as a Collegiate Athlete (pictures, testimonial videos, committed graphics, etc.). Each post should include your personal link that will allow prospective student-athletes to complete a player evaluation form and be scouted by an NSR College Scout. For each prospective student-athlete that submits a player evaluation form utilizing your assigned bit.ly link and then enrolls with NSR, you will be compensated $100.00 per occurrence.
