NSR‘s business model is simple:  Put well-trained, high school athletic scouts on the ground in their communities, allow them the freedom to find, evaluate and enroll deserving prep prospects, and then expect them to provide firsthand knowledge of their client-prospects to college coaches through detailed, accurate scouting reports and one-on-one contact with the prospect and family.  It’s a formula which has worked exceedingly well for the past 31 years.

Yes, we could buy rosters and pay a boatload of “cubicle counselors” to sit in an office, give them quotas and require that so many kids be contacted for phone interviews, and then charge families for what is basically an online site.  That would be the easy way, the big-volume, impersonal way to achieve income and cash flow.  It is a business, after all.  But, at NSR we believe that prospects and families alike deserve more than a blind telemarketing call and a pretty Web site with lots of hoopla attached.  Instead, we believe that legitimate prospects are far better served by, you know, having a real scout who knows them and who actually lives nearby who can evaluate their skills, grades and character and personally recommend them to college coaches based on having seen and known them.
