We all know what AD is an abbreviation for? Athletic Director. But now there’s a different connotation. It’s “Area Director” and that is what you will find when exploring NSR’s Web site as you search for the on-the-ground NSR scout near you.
At NSR, we believe that the best way to represent legitimate college athletic prospects is to attract, train and put actual high school scouts on the ground so that they can scout, that is evaluate, the potential college prospects that live nearby. Does it make sense that they could do this properly from a high-rise cubicle? No. That would be silly.
It is our assertion that there is no better way to scout than to actually observe the prospect play in person, meet the athlete, get the coach’s opinion and become personally acquainted with the athlete and his or her family through an in-home interview process. This method has proven over the past 32 years to be the most reliable formula for helping prospects and college coaches to connect.
NSR AD’s (Area Directors) invest in their NSR business because they see so much potential in their communities. They watch young athletes grow up and miss out on college athletic scholarship opportunities. And, they want to make a difference in the lives of these families.
Once they have fully vetted NSR’s qualifications, which stand alone among high school scouting services nationwide, they come to our home office in Birmingham, Alabama, for extensive training and then return home where they reach out to area high schools, colleges and the potential college recruits nearby. They also occasionally hire Area Scouts to help them scout as many prospects as possible. NSR AD’s and scouts form a team focused on homing in on those high school student-athletes who demonstrate the athletic ability, express the desire, have the grades and character, and finally have the support of their families, all necessary to qualify to become an NSR prospect.
