Get Scouted Scouting CareersNSR scout Steve Swain describes our Female Athlete of the Day, Taylor Steppy, a 5’8″ hitter/libero from East Bay High School in Gibsonton, Florida, this way, “Taylor is a solid athlete and more importantly a great student. She loves to play volleyball in the gym or on the beach. Taylor currently plays for East Bay High School and also plays for the Synergy Club Team. She plays outside right and libero. She runs the court as an intelligent player. She has quick feet, a great passer and an outstanding serve. Taylor has the ability and athleticism to become an outstanding contributor for many collegiate programs. Becoming a quality student-athlete is clearly her TOP priority in life. I feel Taylor will be a great addition to programs looking for a true student-athlete.” Carrying as 4.1 GPA, Taylor says to college coaches, “My goal is to major in Sports Management and/or Education. My parents have always encouraged me to be the best I can be at everything I do. I have high standards for myself in the classroom as well as on the volleyball court. With my parents support and my ambition, I can achieve anything. My true passion is volleyball !! In addition to my High School team I also play Club. I’m currently a Libero/DS and I also play Outside Hitter. My dream since I can remember is to play volleyball at the collegiate level. I’m currently involved in a conditioning program along with coaching youth volleyball.”
