Conner Cronin

At 6’5″, 225 pounds, our Male Athlete of the Day is a great prospect in a crowded field of high school senior quarterbacks.  Conner Cronin plays at Teurlings Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana.   He carries an impressive 3.25 GPA.  Among his honors a number two ranking at the 201o NUC Combine stands out.  His NSR scouting report reads, “Intelligent.  A coach’s dream player.  He is a two-position football player who plays  starting QB  and punter.  He has a solid skill set.  He does a good job on his reads and has a vision of the field.  He can throw the football with great accuracy and velocity (very strong arm).   He is quick and does a good job moving around when pressure comes.  His athletic ability will make him a player that college coaches will want to see and have in their program.”  Conner talks about his desire to play at the next level in his essay to college coaches when he says, “My greatest assets are my ability to throw the football with distance and accuracy, move in the pocket and out the pocketj.  I run hard and can get yards after contact.  I am very mobile for somebody of my size.  I can see the field and make reads that smaller quarterbacks cannot. I work hard in the offseason and also work individually with receivers to make sure we have our routes and timing down. I work to get bigger, faster, stronger and to be mentally ready for college football. I  am the leader on and off the field and in the classroom. I give it 100% everyday and plan on being a great football player and a great leader on a college football team one day.
