Nothing makes us prouder than to see a former NSR athlete succeed after college. Our NSR scout in St. Louis, Missouri, Todd Schumacher, had the privilege last week of evaluating the Westminster Christian Academy volleyball team during the state playoffs. When he met the coach, Hearther Kea, she revealed that she was with NSR as a high school student-athlete. As head coach, Heather went on to guid her team to the Missouri Class 3 Volleyball State Championship this past weekend. The Wildcats finished the season with a record of 27-6-1. Heather is from St. Louis and attended Westminster Christian Academy High as well. With NSR‘s help she was recruited by and played four years for the University of Tennessee-Martin. She was selected as team captain, earned All-Conference honors and helped lead her squad to two Ohio Valley Conference titles. Heather is also the head coach of Team Momentum, a local club volleyball team for elite high school players in the St. Louis area. She said she is excited to have a chance to work with NSR once again, since NSR helped her acquire a scholarship to play in college.
