Our Male Athlete of the Day is Cody Nichols, a 2012 quarterback prospect from Florence High School in Florence, Colorado who carries a 3.1 GPA and plans to major in Sports Training. Following an outstanding senior season in which Cody led his teamm to the Colorado Class 2A State Championship, he was also named First Team All-State as well as the Colorado Class 2A Player of the Year by the Denver Post and Small High School Player of the Year in Colorado by the Denver Gazette. The speedster runs a 4.5 40-yard dash. For the year, Cody amassed 1,155 yards passing 1,383 yards rushing for a combined 29 touchdowns. His NSR scout is Mike Simbro, Northwest Colorado AD.
