Derick Roberson, 2014 football prospect from Texas, is our featured athlete of the day amid mounting attention

NSR 2014 football prospect, Derick Roberson, from Brennan High School in San Antonio, is racking up the accolades.  The 6’3″ 215-pound defensive end is currently listed as the fourth top 2014 pigskin prospect in all of Texas by orangebloods.com.  And unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past 25 years, you know that achieving such a high ranking is a big, big deal.  As a sophomore, Derick earned 1st Team All-Area San Antonio as well as 1st Team All-District 28-4A.  We proudly represent this fine, young man to college football coaches nationwide.  Derick’s NSR scout is San Antonio AD, Rich Renevier.  In his scouting report on Derick, Rich says, “Derick has all the makings to become an impact player at the collegiate level.  As a sophomore his explosion onto the scene immediately turned the heads of opposing coaches as they took notice and adjusted their scheme to account for him.  Derick has a quiet nature yet when he steps onto the football field his relentless motor kicks in and you’d swear he was a different person.  Playing on the end his speed and agility make him a dangerous player, even if he doesn’t get to the ball he invariably affects the offense with his pressure.  Derick’s abilities and passion for the game of football will make him an outstanding collegiate player.”
