Stay ahead of the competition this summer with planned, regular workouts.

This Five-step Guideline Will Help You Get Started

5. Work with a coach, trainer or physician to develop a written workout program for the summer months. Include scheduled time off for resting such as family vacations and regular days off.

4. Establish periodic, specific performance goals in each area of your workout.  Set your sights on reaching each new level.  When you reach one, set another one a little higher and tougher.

3. Commit fully to your plan and share it with workout partners, coaches and your parents.  Ask for their support, encouragement and participation.  The more people you get involved, the better.

2. Document your workouts including days, dates along with start and finish times. Measure each segment of your workouts and record your performances.  Keep your longer term goals in mind.  If you have a setback or down day, create the determination within yourself to do better at the next workout.

1. Post your workout plan and results on your NSR Website so college coaches following your profile can track your progress.  This will impress coaches.  Seeing your organization and dedication could be the difference maker when it comes to receiving offers.
