Tabby Tindell is absolutely killing it in college.

The former National Scouting Report soccer prospect was one of the nation’s top high school players out of Trinity Catholic in Ocala, Florida. A four-year varsity starter, Tindell tallied an incredible 160 goals and 80 assists during her high school career. As a sophomore, she led the nation with 44 goals and 40 assists for an eye-popping 128 points. In her senior season, she led her team to the FHSAA 2A state championship, notching a hat trick in the final.

Tabby has not slowed down her prolific production in college. At Florida Gulf Coast University, she was named Atlantic Sun Conference Freshman of the Year as well as ASC Player of the Year in both her sophomore and junior seasons.  She enters her senior campaign holding nearly every individual scoring record at FGCU. Through three seasons, she owns the school  records for total points (126), goals scored (52), and game-winning goals (21).

“What a great recognition for Tabby and our program,” FGCU coach Jim Blankenship told the Naples Herald. “She has been an outstanding player from Day One and an even better leader and person. Knowing Tabby, I’m sure she is honored but excited about the fall and making another run at the NCAAs.”

“I honestly didn’t know I was that close to the record, so when I heard it on the loudspeaker, it was a nice surprise,” Tindell exclaimed upon breaking the school’s scoring record in a match last season against Dayton. “It’s good to be able to contribute to my team in that way.”

Tabby enters her final year of eligibility ranked by TopDrawerSoccer.com as the No. 1 women’s college player in Florida, the ninth best forward nationwide and No. 30 in all of college soccer. What’s more, she’s also an excellent student, receiving All-Conference Academic Team honors the past two years.

Dave Johnson, NSR area director in Florida, remembers Tabby when she was a high school player.

“Tabby has always been a natural outstanding soccer athlete,” Johnson said. “She started out playing in boys leagues and then in high school started playing in girls organizations at tournaments. We saw her score 44 goals and have almost as many assists in her sophomore year. She was fast, athletic, had quick feet and very skilled at that early age. She also was an excellent student with a 4.2 GPA when we found her.

“Her NSR scout, Shaun Kitchen, had no trouble lining her up with visits at all the top soccer programs in the country. She was the Florida Gatorade Player of the Year and a high school All-American. We are so proud to have been a part in her recruiting.”
