A “W” is a “W”, but to be sure it was tough going for Oklahoma against Nebraska Saturday evening in the Big 12 Championship Game.  Faced with a relentless Husker defense, Sooner QB and former NSR prospect Landry Jones continued to successfully move OU between the 30’s, but the high-powered Oklahoma offense was only able to punch the ball over the goal line twice all game, both in the first half.  Three other times they settled for field goals.  As for Landry, the sophomore signal caller from New Mexico once again put up huge numbers in a 23-of-41-for-342 yard performance.  He threw one touchdown pass and had one ball picked off in the 23 to 20 victory which catapulted the Sooners into the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl on New Year’s Day against BIG EAST qualifier Connecticut.  To date after 13 games, Landry’s passing stats are as good as any QB in the nation:  371 completions in 568 attempts for 4,289 yards, 35 TD’s, 11 INT’s, 330 passing yards per game and a 145.21 passer efficiency rating.
