We are proud to select as our Female Athlete of the Day Hayley Hunter, a 3.5 student from Georgetown High School in Georgetown, Texas. This six-footer is a post player with lots of tools. Her NSR scout, Randy Evans, describes her this way in his scouting report, “Hayley is an excellent college prospect. She has great size at 6′, good quickness and a very good head for the game. She is an excellent defensive player and a very strong shot blocker. Hayley has the ability to post up as well as face the basket, she also has a developing 3 pt shot. On and off the court, she is a great team leader, both vocally and through her actions. She understands the game very well, and uses her knowledge to analyze her opponents looking for their weaknesses. Hayley is also a very level headed young lady, she doesn’t let pressure situations affect her play. Any program that is needing a post or possibly a wing should take a serious look at Hayley.” In her personal essay to college coaches, Hayley expresses herself by saying, “My desire to play college basketball has been my focus on and off the court. I am a competitive person and I always play to win. If given the opportunity to play on a collegiate level I will remain true to the game that challenges me every time I step onto the court.”
