Caleb Brown

We are very proud to announce Caleb Brownas our Male Athlete of the Day.  An All-Region selection is also a stellar student carrying a 4.9 GPA at Wakulla High School in Crawfordville, Florida.  His NSR scout, Coach Robert Cagle, talks about Caleb’s considerable attributes in his scouting report when he says, “Caleb is an oustanding center and defensive tackle.  Take the time to watch how he uses his strength and leverage to dominate opponents!  The fundmentals are impressive!!  Caleb is a young man that every college coach wants on his roster!  Why?  He is a self driven, hard working coachable kid that has the desire and intensity to play at the next level.  He is also a great student and is successful in the classroom.  Just take time to watch the Caleb’s video.  He is quick!  He is solid!”  Caleb has aspirations of becoming a civil engineer and has had to work diligently to put himself in the position to achieve this goal. In his essay to college coaches, Caleb says, “All through high school I’ve never made below an A in any subject on my report card and it’s not because I have an easy schedule. Every one of my academic classes I’ve taken since middle school has been either and Honors class or Advanced Placement, or been dual enrollment classes offered by Tallahassee Community College. I also play football on top of all this, which makes for an even more stressful schedule. I’ve played football since fourth grade and I’ve always started for every team I have been on, including starting on the varsity team my 10th and 11th grade year. I’m working hard to start my 12th grade year because the spots on the team aren’t just handed to seniors, which I’m thankful for.  The reason I put myself through this stress is because of the path I’ve chosen for my future. I’m planning on going to college and getting and engineering degree because I’ve always wanted to be an engineer since I was old enough to think about my future. To achieve this goal I knew I’d have to have good grades. Also the fact that I love football and want to play football in college has driven me to try to get a football scholarship so I don’t have to worry about paying for college. In addition, this stress has given me good characteristics like being serious, attentive, well-mannered as well as a leader and hard worker.  All in all, I like what I’ve done in my life so far and the path I’ve chosen to follow. I wouldn’t change either one for the world.”
