Our Male Athlete of the Day is a soccer goalkeeper from Orono High School in Long Lake, Minnesota, Sean Boyle. This 6’3″ athlete was selected to the Lieutenant Governor’s Cabinet for Youth in Government and made one of only six premier soccer club teams in the state of Minnesota. His coach offers high praise for Sean when he states, “I hold a level III goalkeeping diploma (NSCAA) I also hold a USSF D license. I am the head Goalkeeping Trainer/Coach at Maplebrook Soccer Association (Maple Grove, MN) as well as the Goalkeeping coach/Assistant Varsity coach (Girls) at Armstrong High School (Plymouth, MN). I believe Sean is loaded with more than enough potential to play with the top college teams in the nation. With his athletic ability, work ethic, and desire I think he would succeed at any school. I would recommend Sean to any school at any level in the nation.” Sean sees himself as a high-level player. In his essay to college coaches, he says, “I am passionate about the game of soccer and believe that I can contribute at the next level. I work incredibly hard at getting better every chance I get. I believe that is one of my greatest characteristics as a team member. I am a team player and my desire to win keeps me working on all aspects of my game every day. I love the game and I love to work at the game.”
