In a game worth savoring, last Friday night 2012 NSR football prospect Spencer Froemming from Bonduel High School in Bonduel, Wisconsin completed 10 of 16 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns and ran in two scores in a 34-7 win over Iola-Scandinavia. He also intercepted a pass as the team’s defensive safety and handles all the punting and kicking duties, too. The Bears are 3-0 and average 41.0 points per game. They are currently ranked sixth in the 3A power rankings published by the Green Bay Press Gazette. As a student, the 6’1” 175 pound, three-sport athlete carries a 3.5 GPA.
On his NSR personal 10-page Web site, Spencer gives us, and college coaches around America, some insights about himself when he says, “I grew up on a farm in Central Wisconsin. Working on my family farm has taught me responsibility and a hard work ethic. I have always dreamed of playing football beyond the high school level. I know it will take an extreme amount of dedication to the game and to my education. I will use my work ethic to give all that I have to my future college.”
Spencer plans to become a teacher after college. For college coaches, his strong qualities are listed as good leadership skills, good field presence, very motivated (5-day per week summer workout program), good speed, good academics and a positive attitude.
