Cool, Boise State Football: Kudos to the Boise State football team and coaches for not quitting when the odds weren’t in their favor as the game against Virginia Tech wound down to the wire. Led by senior QB, Kellen Moore, the Broncos took destiny in their own hands and marched downfield to score the winning TD with a minute to go in the pressure-packed contest. Oh, and David did slay Goliath, if you will remember. Very cool, Broncos.
Uncool, Albert Haynesworth: The Washington Redskins‘ defensive savior last season has become their nemesis this year. His pre-season holdout, after cashing a $21 million bonus check, because new Head Coach Mike Shannahan wouldn’t run the defense Haynesworth was allegedly promised when he signed a multi-million dollar contract 18 months ago, goes to show just how some professional athletes’ idea of how the employer-employee concept in America really works. Grow up, Albert, and go to work like a man. Very uncool.
