Our Female Athlete of the Day is Victoria Battersby, a 2013 soccer midfielder from Immanuel College (High School) in Adelaide, South Australia. She carries a 3.0 GPA and wants to major in Health Sciences. In Victoria’s essay to American college coaches, she says, “I believe I will make a difference to the college team because I am a hardworking and focused leader, who will see my team as my family. This will give me an incentive to train harder for my new team, so that when it comes to game day I am 100% prepared to put my body on the line for them so that we can have the best possible results. With my optimistic attitude and approachable personality I will make a positive difference to a college team. I am willing to leave my family, friends and life here in Australia for the chance to play study and pursue my dream over in America.” Her NSR scout is Marco Maisano, Australia Soccer AD.
