Former NSR prospect and Oklahoma QB Landry Jones led the eighth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (5-0) over Big 12 power and #16 Texas in the Red River Rivalry Saturday at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas before a record-setting crowd of 96,009 fans.  Landry was stellar going 24 for 39 for 236 yards, two TD’s and no interceptions.  For the year, Landry’s passing efficiency is a highly respectable 137.35.  He has completed 133 of 208 passing attempts and has only thrown three interceptions against eleven touchdowns for an average of 291.4 yards per game through the air.  The game originated in 1900, while Oklahoma was still a United States territory and the Oklahoma campus was still in Oklahoma Territory.  Until the 2005 meeting, the 100th meeting between the schools, the game was called the Red River Shootout.
