There are over seven million high school student-athletes in the United States. Less than 10% will participate in college sports. That leaves thousands of prep athletes who are good college prospects, but get left out of scholarship opportunities. Why? They and their parents don't understand how college recruiting works, so college coaches never learn about them and the value they could bring to their programs. Will you be recruited or will you be left out too?

When my daughter, Emily started her junior year of high school volleyball I was referred by a friend to NSR. My name is Kelly Cameron and I am a 12th grade setter/right side. I play club volleyball for Elevation Volleyball Club and I committed to the University at Albany to play volleyball. The biggest challenge I was facing with recruiting prior to working with NSR was figuring out the best ways to connect with college coaches and get them interested in me. In a matter of weeks, I had numerous college coaches showing interest in me. One of the biggest eye openers about recruiting that I learned from NSR was that college coaches don't just come to you. You must work at getting them to contact you and sometimes it will be frustrating, but you must be patient. What I liked best about working with Sheila and NSR was that Sheila always made herself available to me and encouraged me to call or text her whenever. But on the other hand she always made an effort to contact me and ask how everything was going. If you're a student athlete serious about playing in college, I would highly recommend contacting Sheila Thiery at NSR Ohio, so she can help guide and your family through this process and open up opportunities for you, like she did for me!

As parents of a high school athlete, it was important for us to support our daughter in her goal of playing volleyball at the collegiate level. But being from a small town presented limitations. We didn’t know how to go about exposing her to college coaches, or how to tackle the recruiting process. Our daughter’s high school coach suggested we call NSR. After meeting with our scout, we realized quickly we had found an ally that would work long hours on our daughter’s behalf to find the perfect school for her abilities. Our scout's presence at national tournaments and her relationships with collegiate coaches at every level proved to us she could do what she said. As our daughter was being recruited, time and again coaches referred to their respect of the scout's opinions because she was so accurate in the evaluations of her athletes. Coaches rely heavily on NSR for feedback, because they know they doesn’t over-inflate their athletes like other recruiting organizations do. The result is the proper fit for both athlete and coach, with our scout serving as the connection between the two. The investment we made in NSR was priceless. In the 11 months we worked with NSR, our daughter received full ride offers to Division 1 & Division 2 universities.
