Steve Swain’s Testimonials

"I recommend Steve a million times over!"

Alissa Grant (volleyball) | University of Maryland, Baltimore County

Before my daughter met Steve Swain from NSR she was performing well and was excited at the possibility of playing college volleyball however we had no idea how to get her noticed.

Steve Swain met my daughter Alissa at the Daytona Beach Nike tournament this February.  When Steve met and watched Alissa jump, block and play he was shocked to hear that she was not officially committed.  I knew in my heart that my daughter was good enough and so hardworking as an athlete, but I didn’t know how to get her visible enough to the right schools and coaches.  Steve jumped in and offered to meet with us and represent Alissa.

His excitement and positivity for Alissa was refreshing and appreciated.  He had many one-on-one meetings with her and myself.  Steve used everything in his power to make Alissa visible to coaches.  He reminded her also how hard she worked and to enjoy the recruiting process.  He also guided and supported us when we went on college tours and when we responded to coaches. Within a few weeks of meeting Steve my daughter had multiple coaches reach out to her and we had multiple full ride offers!  Steve guided Alissa every step of the way and I am forever grateful!  I recommend Steve one million times over!

The great news is my daughter has committed to a D1 Volleyball program within 3 months of Steve representing my daughter. We are blessed to work with Steve Swain and NSR!

Thank you so much,

Holly Grant

"Through Steve and NSR, Grace was introduced to dozens of potential schools"

Grace Pukas (volleyball) | Brevard College

Steve Swain has been a supporter of our daughter, Grace, since we first met him over two years ago. He has remained in contact with us and Grace throughout the college recruiting process. We have seen him at practice and tournaments for her club volleyball teams, as well as at her high school games. He has celebrated every success with Grace along the way, whether it was volleyball related or not, and has kept all of our spirits up and encouraged us when things didn’t go so well. Through Steve and NSR, Grace was introduced to dozens of potential schools, and with Grace having her heart set on attending college outside the state of Florida, that was no easy task. Overall, Grace had 13 on-campus visits, each with a meeting with Admissions, a campus tour, sitting in on a class, and a meeting with the volleyball coaching staff. And it was on the 12th visit that Grace found her college home in North Carolina. And this opportunity was the result of Steve communicating directly with the school’s volleyball coach, and connecting her with Grace. It was Grace’s dream to have the opportunity to play volleyball at the collegiate level, and through Steve’s guidance and efforts, that dream has become a reality for our daughter! Thank you Steve! Friends for life!

"Steve continuously stressed academics and the importance of earning and maintaining good grades."

Juliana Ortiz (softball) | Webber International University

It is my privilege to write about our experience with National Scouting Report (NSR) Steve Swain. We met Steve 4 years ago on the softball field when he evaluated Juliana. Steve saw the talent and desire Juliana had to play at the collegiate level. As her NSR representative, he gave her that opportunity by providing and implementing a long term plan for Juliana to achieve her goal. On more than one occasion Steve reminded us this was a marathon not a sprint. Also, that she and the school Juliana selected would have to be the right fit for one another. These words proved to be great advice as we travelled on the journey. Steve quickly became a close family friend and confidant. Steve provided not only advice on the field, but his academic guidance was crucial. Most importantly as Juliana had ups and downs in her softball career Steve was there each step along the way. He provided crucial advice, patience or at times just listened. When frustration set in Steve was there to reassure Juliana and us that everything would be ok. Overall, our experience with Steve Swain and NSR has been wonderful and has demonstrated to be a tremendous asset to Juliana and our family. Steve's patience, mentorship and friendship has proved to be invaluable as Juliana committed to Webber International University. We are happy Steve has become part of our family and we are proud to be part of the NSR family.

"I had a great experience with Steve/NSR and wish I would of done it sooner."

Hayleigh Reeves (basketball) | LaGrange College

Steve Swain and NSR is a great way to get out to colleges. They go above and beyond for you to make sure you can achieve your dreams of playing the sport you love at the next level. I had a great experience with Steve/NSR and wish I would of done it sooner. They get your film out there to college coaches, and if you are serious about playing at the next level, there is a college out there for you. Steve teaches you how to talk to coaches and be organized, disciplined, and he helps you see things from more than just a sports perspective. Amazing! Thank you for everything, Steve

"We made the right decision choosing NSR."

Jakob Runnels (baseball) | UCF

Thank you Steve Swain! This was a very long journey and we could not have made it without your knowledge and guidance. NSR had us prepared for every situation that we faced along the way. There are a ton of college recruiting companies out there now but none are as knowledgeable and experienced as NSR. We made the right decision choosing NSR.

Steve Swain is our friend for life!

"Steve Swain... became a valuable mentor to our daughter!"

Devyn Kalinowski (volleyball) | North Carolina Wesleyan College

NSR has been a valuable tool in finding a college for our daughter, without NSR we would have had no idea how the recruiting process worked. Because of the information we learned my daughter got invited to go to over 10 schools and after visiting the schools we were able to finally agree upon one where she will be receiving a full ride scholarship. Steve Swain not only helped us with the recruiting process but became a valuable mentor to my daughter. He is a person that you can count on, you can call and ask questions anytime, without him and NSR I'm not sure where we would be. We are very grateful that our daughter was able to be put in front of all of the schools and get a scholarship. Thank you, Steve and NSR!

"I personally, will be forever grateful for all your help"

Daniel Wellman (football) | Macalester College

I wanted to thank you for all your help & guidance through the whole recruitment process for Daniel. If you remember when I called you the first time, I knew I needed to get Daniel's film & profile out there but I had no idea where to start, the appropriate format that colleges were looking for, the lack of time to put it all together, etc. Once you explained how NSR worked, I was convinced this was the right path. As soon as we joined NSR, the mail & e-mails started flooding in. There were great colleges that I had never heard of that can offer college athletes a phenomenal college experience & allow them to play the sport they love without putting their parents into bankruptcy. Anytime we had a question, if we weren't sure if some of the camps were scams, you were instrumental in easing our minds & helping us figure out the right path. Now that Daniel has picked Macalester college, we are so relieved & we are very comfortable that he is going to a great college with great coaches. Now we can enjoy what's left of his senior year.

I have spoke to many parents of real talented senior athletes and they don't have any colleges inquiring about their kids. These are kids with good grades & talent and no prospects. I am convinced that NSR was the platform that gave Daniel the advantage to be seen by so many colleges all over the U.S. With that being said, we are extremely fortunate to have had your expertise, and thank you for your availability when we needed you. I would highly recommend NSR to any parent that is on this same quest to find the right college for their student athlete. We now join the success stories with many families that have been lucky enough to have NSR on their side in such an important phase in our children's lives. I personally, will be forever grateful for all your help, for keeping our expectations real & helping us reach our goal. We will keep you posted when Daniel gets situated at Macalester.

- Brenda Wellman

"Steve's Professionalism Always Put Us at Ease"

Lauren Heinlein (golf) | University of Kansas

We've worked with Steve & NSR since our daughter was in 8th grade. Looking back now we realize that what we thought was a person & service that would help our daughter land a college in the golf recruiting process was simply a short sighted thought. From being a guide through all steps of the entire process to explaining possibilities before they happened so our expectations were in line, to questions at the last minute about scholarship offers Steve was honest & fair. For us his experience was the key. Having dealt with what we were going through with our daughter so many times before in all sports. Steve could provide us with most if not all, of the possibilities. And in our times in uncertainty Steve was confident. He was right! We laugh now, because as parents it's somewhat stressful but Steve's professionalism always put us at ease. Ultimately, what it really comes down to for us is the trust. We built a great relationship with Steve which started 5 years ago. Now our daughter is a senior in high school and just signed with a Power 5 school on a golf scholarship & will be off to college next summer. Anyone who signs with NSR, & is fortunate enough to have Steve work with them will not be disappointed. Steve is very accessible at all times as the recruiting process doesn't follow a set schedule and this is exceptionally important for working parents and busy families. We've appreciated our relationship with Steve and know we will continue to stay in touch in the future to share our daughter's college experience.

- Alan & Maria Heinlein

"He has done it all."

Cooper Mountcastle (baseball) | Saint Leo University

Huge thank you to Steve Swain from NSR. From the very first step in the recruiting process to the last minutes before signing he has provided support and guidance along the way. He has done it all: Advising on workout plans, travel ball teams, test date reminders, grade check-ins, interview clothes to wear, appropriate text/email responses, standing at the fence shouting encouragement, and even side conversations for the tough-love moments (for us and Coop). Our journey is not done with you Coach. NSR family for life.

"Our experience has been nothing short of fantastic."

Olivia Nieto (softball) | Cairn University

Since becoming a part of the NSR family, our experience has been nothing short of fantastic. Steve's depth of knowledge and honesty helped guide and encourage Olivia to explore numerous options. We are very thankful and blessed to have been introduced to Steve Swain and the NSR organization and excited that we will continue to work with such a top notch individual as our other children pursue their academic and sports' endeavors. Thank you Steve Swain and the entire NSR family for your amazing support.

"These guys are AWESOME, in particular our friend, Steve Swain!"

Dylan Crews (baseball) | LSU

Any family considering NSR can call me for a personal recommendation, these guys are AWESOME in particular our friend, Steve Swain!

What started out 3 years ago when Dylan was a 7th grade kid going into the 8th grade, all I heard was "are you nuts, why are you spending money on a 12 year old kid to get recruited... don't you think it's a little early to be starting that?" Or you don't need that, it's a waste of money, if he's good enough the coaches will find him. Turns out to be one of the best investments I have ever made... this past week my son verbally committed to LSU as a 15 year old sophomore to further his education and pursue his dream of playing college baseball! NSR and Steve Swain represent something that is sorely lacking in high school athletics these days... a buffer between the families and kids chasing their dreams. They tell it like it is, grades FIRST and we will help and advise you through the process and that's exactly what it is... a process and they are the BEST, and in my opinion Steve Swain is the BEST! He's been a mentor to Dylan, been available any time he's needed to talk or any kind of advice, same as he's been with Kim and I. He's gone above and beyond the call of duty in this process and helped us every step of the way which is why I say this is the one of the best investments we made in our son's future and to top it off we have made a lifelong friend in the process. Steve has driven all over the southeast to see Dylan play for the past 3 years, we are friends with his wife and daughter, they have gone to dinner with us, advised us on what to do and what not to do and been there during the entire process and we are forever grateful for his help and guidance. Love me some Steve Swain!

- George Crews

"I Cannot Say Enough About NSR"

Lindsey Robinson (volleyball) | Bloomfield College

If you have a child in sports and would like to explore college athletics, I can not say enough about NSR and how they have helped Lindsey Robinson get two full rides. Give them a call sooner rather than later, it's the best plan for my peps around here Steve Swain is the man, thanks a lot Steve!

"Thanks for Taking Care of My Girl"

Jessica Bryson (softball) | University of Louisiana at Monroe

With over 1,600 college softball programs in the U.S. No way anyone can reach them all. NSR can. And I am glad they were there for my girl. ULM was a connection made by Steve Swain and the NSR staff for Jessica Bryson. Now she is a committed D1 athlete. We did the work and so did they and I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks for taking care of my girl.

If you are looking for another tool to put in your tool box. Call Steve Swain and he will become a "friend for life". NSR difference!

"Start the Recruiting Process as Early as Possible"

Molly Ayala (volleyball) | Clarks Summit University

This is a big shout out to Steve Swain and Brian Adams of NSR (National Scouting Report). We would not have been able to find Clarks Summit University without them.   these two guys really care about their athletes and go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable with the process and will coach you every step of the way. The one thing I will say is if your kid is thinking about playing sports in college, start the recruiting process as early as possible. This will open up more school choices. We started late, but with the help of Steve and Brian, Molly was able to connect to a good school and was fortunate enough to commit as a dual athlete in both softball and volleyball. Thank you so much Steve and Brian! We love you two!

"Steve was Instrumental in Helping Jordan"

Jordan Almasy (softball) | University of Central Florida (UCF)

As D1 schools are starting their recruiting process as early as 8th grade, this process can be very overwhelming! Having Steve Swain and NSR as a resource and mentor to help navigate the process has been a monumental help! When we began this process, Jordan was only in 7th grade. That seemed insane to me that we were even entertaining such a discussion at such a young age! But we quickly found it was not, as Jordan received her 1st D1 offer in October of her 8th grade year! Steve was instrumental in helping Jordan evaluate a school's academic, as well as athletic, programs. Teaching Jordan how to best communicate and follow up with coaches was an integral part of the process. He also encouraged patience and to look at all options before making a decision. Steve was always on hand any time we had questions, needed advice or just needed a sounding board. He has consistently encouraged Jordan both athletically and academically. Jordan will be playing at the University of Central Florida - her top choice - and couldn't be happier! We are incredibly grateful for his knowledge, his guidance, his time and his friendship.

- Jade Kruger

"Steve is the Person for You"

Jessie McCallister (softball) | Broward College

Friends for Life - Steve Swain is our friend for life. We have been a part of the NSR family for about 3 years now and Steve has been there with us and guided us through this long journey. Although my daughter played softball, I know that Steve has worked and will continue to work with other student athletes in all sports. If he sees and feels that your kiddo has what it takes to carry on their journey into college; Steve is the person for you. The contacts we have made through NSR around the country are and were a blessing. There is a school out there for your student athlete and you will absolutely know when the time is right, that the school is right and that future home for your "baby" will be the right one.

Thank you Steve for all that you did for my family and I know you will continue to do the same for many more of your friends. Notice i did not say "clients" because every family that Steve works with is more than a "client". They are family and they are his friends for life.

- Tricia McCallister

"We Give Steve the Highest Recommendation"

Lauren Heinlein (golf) | University of Kansas

This letter will serve as our letter of recommendation for Steve Swain, Area Director, for NSR. We were fortunate to find Steve through a contact while our daughter was still in 8th grade. Actually, the truth is that he found us. Our daughter is a golfer, and had just started competing in Florida's Junior Tour (FJT) at that time. FJT is the most competitive junior golf tour in the state, in a state that has ranked 2nd or 3rd in the country for junior golf over the past 5 years.

"The NSR Path is a Great Path"

Gordon Sandorf (football) | Davidson College

Dear Parents of Athletes,

One of the most important decisions you will ever make for your child's future is in front of you right now. We were in your shoes 3 years ago, when our son Gordon decided he wanted to play at the next level. I vetted several local and national services, finding that none of them could come close to the opportunity that Steve is presenting you now. Here is our story:

Our son Gordon was a freshman in high school. We had no idea about how to go about this entire process. What we did know is that we were in way over our heads and that we needed help. Everywhere we turned, there were services that wanted to take our money, but which one was real? Which one would do right by our son? The answer came when we met Steve. His company came with a great track record, hundreds of success stories, and most importantly, kids' dreams coming true and going on to college sports.

How did we cross the finish line? Steve was like a third parent for our son. He provided accountability, tough love, and a road map. He helped our son with a successful PLAN. There are numerous steps to crossing the finish line in first place. Steve knows those steps. Steve knows about how to help your child get noticed by the right college coaches. Steve knows college coach conduct and what it means if a coach is saying this or doing that.

The NSR path is a great path. Because 3 years ago, my family choose Steve and the fantastic company he represents, my son is committed to Davidson College to play Division 1 football, he will graduate valedictorian of his class, and he will have a high powered degree coming out of college.

Thank you, Steve! You will always be a friend for life!

"Friends for life for sure!"

Larry Dalla Betta (football) | University of West Florida

Steve Swain, thank you for all you and NSR have done to help educate us along the way. More importantly, thank you for being a true friend to our family and great supporter of our son. Friends for life for sure!

- Larry & Jill Dalla Betta

"I am very thankful for the guidance Steve Swain has shown Shelby"

Shelby Lansing (softball) | Southeastern University

I can remember the first time I heard the name Steve Swain. I simply couldn't understand why all of these kids were getting committed and my daughter wasn't even getting looked at! I mean, was she that terrible of a player that she just got over looked and I was one of those moms that thought her baby was that good and she wasn't. Surely not, Lol! Finally, I asked the parent of another catcher who had just committed and the words Steve Swain came out of her mouth, she gave me his number. I also found out that every girl but one that I knew was committed at the time and was taught how to be by Steve Swain! So we called and met with him. Shelby then had her recruiter. Steve came to her games, sent out those words of encouragement and believed in her. He taught her how to email and call coaches and stay on top of the colleges. He stayed on her about getting her skills video done as well as helped with it and all of her transcripts and the things coaches would want to look over. He taught her how to promote herself and how to be seen. This was something we just didn't know how to do and we were clueless in what it entailed. With all of these combinations and having an amazing travel ball coach that had her back, my Shelby 2017 C/1B has verbally committed to play ball at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida to start her journey of becoming a nurse. I am very thankful for the guidance Steve Swain has shown Shelby. I am thankful for his support and his belief in our girl! I am so very happy that we had him to show us the ropes. Friends for life!

"Thank you for the valuable insight on the recruiting process, which is totally misunderstood by so many."

Jordyn Petty (softball) | Piedmont College

Already a year! Crazy to think about. Thank You Steve Swain for being with us through Jordyn Petty's Journey so far. Thank you for the valuable insight on the recruiting process which is totally misunderstood by so many. Thank you for guiding us to the right Academic and Athletic schools that not only fit Jordyn's "box" but theirs.

NSR is a perfect fit for us. Without it she would not be committed to continue her academic and softball career at Piedmont College. We are extremely excited to see what her future holds and grateful to know you will continue to be with us for a lifetime.

"NSR is Solely Responsible for Making the Connection"

Jessica Bryson (softball) | University of Louisiana at Monroe

In May of 2014 Steve Swain came to our home and spoke to us about our daughter Jessica, her talents, her abilities and her ability to play at the next level. He spoke about the NSR program, how it helps families navigate the recruiting process as well as the tools it provides throughout the process. We were very excited to learn about the program its reach and network of school, coaches and tools to help our daughter.

Over the next two years Jessica received a lot of contact from across the country and a lot of exposure we just could not have given her without Steve and NSR. In January of 2016 our regional search went out which included an email to a schools we never even knew existed. The University of Louisiana at Monroe. Jessica took over from there and spoke with the coach herself and was invited to camp. After arriving at camp Jessica was made an offer to play Division 1 softball and she accepted.

It's important to note a few things. 1) We did not know who ULM was before NSR and NSR is solely responsible for making the connection with us to the school and now my daughter is in love with her choice. 2) Steve Swain has been an invaluable resource throughout the last two years and grown to become a very good friend of ours inside and outside of softball.

We could not be happier with the program, with Steve and with our results. NSR is the real deal and I look forward to a lifetime of friendship with Steve Swain long after Jessica has even graduated college.

- Respectfully, Bill Hoopes

"Steve has taken the stress out of [the recruiting process]"

JJ Lewis (football) | University of West Florida

I want to say thank you for your tremendous ability to help JJ and our family understand the recruitment process over the last 3 years. Our relationship with Steve and NSR helped our son reach his potential. "I’m so very glad that their paths have crossed." This never would have been possible without Steve’s help.

There were so many questions that came up and Steve has taken the stress out of that and was always quick to offer his help or advice at a moment’s notice. It has been an honor and a privilege to be associated with you Steve. Now my son is headed to the University of West Florida to play football. Again, thank you for all of your help, with your relentless motivation and knowledge of the recruitment process.

"His honesty and clear advice guided us through the entire process"

Marilyn Maas (softball) | West Virginia Wesleyan College

During August 2014, our daughter, Marilyn, became a client of Steve Swain. Marilyn was a junior in high school at the time and was playing softball for her high school and travel ball teams. My wife and I believed she was good enough to play at the college level but didn't know for sure. Steve gave an NSR presentation to Marilyn's travel ball team and after hearing him we talked and agreed he'd evaluate and interview Marilyn so he could determine if she had the ability to play at the college level.

After Steve interviewed Marilyn and watched her play in a few games, he concluded Marilyn's talents matched either NCAA division 2 or NAIA type of program, and he then devised a program to target these schools. His honesty and clear advice guided us through the entire process from preparing her softball portfolio to closing the deal. Steve was also available anytime of the day, and any day of the week, to answer all of our questions or to help walk us through the recruitment process. After getting Marilyn's profile complete on the NSR website, Steve monitored hundreds of leads that were interested in a softball player with Marilyn's skill set and talents. Once the leads came in Steve helped us communicate effectively with the coaches and over time we were able to shop around and pick a school that was the perfect fit for Marilyn both academically and athletically.

I'd recommend to any parent interested in using a recruiter to use Steve Swain because bis honesty set our expectation and his professionalism, experience and NSR network is going to help Marilyn get a great education while being a student athlete. Thank you Steve!

"Grateful for all your guidance and support"

Kayla Shelton (golf) | University of Montevallo

We have been very impressed and pleased with the exposure NSR has provided for our daughter. It is amazing that within such a short time from her website going live that she began to receive communications from coaches and within three months received a verbal commitment. The quality of coaches and schools that have contacted Kayla shows that your program works and we are extremely grateful for all your guidance and support to myself, my husband and to Kayla. Thank you and we look forward to Kayla's future as a colligate golfer.

- Warmest Regards, The Shelton Family

"NSR was the best decision we made..."

Jordyn Counts (softball) | Ave Maria University

I wanted to take a few moments to let you know how thankful we are for all you have done for Jordyn since signing with NSR. You have helped guide Jordyn through the complex world of college softball recruiting.

You took the time to express to her the elements of maintaining her health and grades and the importance of keeping both at the highest levels. NSR was the best decision we made for Jordyn's softball career. By providing a road map to provide the process to get her from a High School student athlete to getting an athletic scholarship to Ave Maria University was invaluable. I don't think we could have done it without you and NSR.

Thanks again for all you have done for Jordyn.

- Thanks, John W. Counts

"NSR exposed Lindsey to hundreds of schools across the country"

Lindsey Robinson (volleyball) | Indian River State College

Steve helped guide our daughter Lindsey through the volleyball recruiting process and offered his advice on how she could prepare herself to be an athlete at the collegiate level. NSR exposed Lindsey to hundreds of schools across the country and when the emails started flooding in Lindsey became overwhelmed. Lindsey received many requests for college visits and had coaches visiting her at her games, practices and tournaments. Steve was always available to help Lindsey through the complete process and encouraged Lindsey to go on college visits. At some point, Lindsey made the decision to stay in Florida so this narrowed her search down tremendously. Lindsey received several offers and struggled with her decision. Steve continued to support Lindsey and offered advice till she made her decision to accept a full scholarship offer from Indian River State College. We truly admire Steve for the commitment he makes to his prospects. No matter where Lindsey is playing he was there and continues to be there for support and to cheer her on. We highly encourage any athlete who wants to get to the next level to consider working with Steve and NSR.

- Wayne and Julie Bradbury

"Smooth and Exciting"

Shannon Dudley (volleyball) | University of Montevallo

There is no question the last several months have been an amazing whirlwind for our family as we signed with NSR and ventured boldly into the realm of college athletic recruiting. While our beautiful daughter stands six foot three inches and has zealously embraced an incredible passion for volleyball, we were late. So very late in the process or searching for her future school where she would continue to thrive in her skills as well as a person while pursuing a college degree... The NSR process is very organized and precise. Following the guidance Steve offers, will make it smooth and exciting. There is no need to feel lost in the unchartered waters of college recruiting, as there is always a beacon leading the way.

- The Dudleys

"A path that will help you improve"

Drew Vimond (baseball) | Eckerd College

The recruiting process is difficult and filled with rejection. But you can't let the rejection prevent you from performing. Steve Swain is a great man with experience and is always there for you. He's not just there for you athletically; he is a mentor who helps you through every aspect of the recruiting process, emotionally, academically, and athletically. We all have some form of our game to improve on, may it be our physical conditioning, our classroom studies or whatever aspect of the game you play, Steve will lead you on a path that will help you improve. He can tell you many things you need to do to perform at the next level, but you have to want it and put it to work. His guidance doesn't do the job if you don't put in the work. NSR as a whole was unbelievable with the exposure it provides. I was in contact with hundreds of coaches. But you can't just rely on their initial emails; you need to make the follow up calls, send more emails, and provide the work ethic to get you to the next level. I would recommend Steve and NSR to any athlete and family interested in pursuing the next level.

- Drew Vimond

"Key resource for the placement of our son!"

Jack Denzer (baseball) | University of Rochester

Over the last 15 Months NSR and you have been the key resource for the placement of our son Jack at the University of Rochester. The placement process for Jack started out 15 months ago with the planning meeting with our family. That foundational meeting gave us a recruiting strategy to follow that worked. We established rules and responsibility during that meeting which clearly defined the process.

In the beginning you clearly outlined a recruiting plan that utilized the direct mail/phone call and showcase process. This process proved to be the foundation for Jack. He received over 20 offers and of those offers 5 were division one. He ultimately chose a school that fit him educational, athletically and socially. We want to thank you for all that you and NSR did for us. You gave us peace of mind during a process that can be highly stressful. We would recommend Steve and NSR to anyone!

- Rod and Kris Denzer

"...pushed Diego to challenge himself."

Diego Montanez (baseball) | Methodist University

We have had the distinct pleasure of working with Steve Swain of National Scouting Report (NSR) for the past year and are extremely grateful that Steve saw our Son Diego's potential and has mentored him throughout the recruiting process. During that time my Wife Evelyn and I have gotten to know Steve quite well and can thoroughly vouch for his character and abilities.

Steve's knowledge of the college recruiting process, positive attitude, and ability to honestly assess students' academic and athletic potential made it very easy to trust him and allow him to play a very important role in our Sons future. Steve coached Diego on how to effectively communicate with college coaches through email and even role played phone conversations with Diego so that he would be comfortable doing so. Steve also had the tough conversations regarding academic performance and pushed Diego to challenge himself in school just as hard as he does on the ball field and in the gym.

Steve's guidance has helped Diego reach his fullest potential and dream of continuing his baseball career at the college level. It has been an honor and a privilege to be associated with Steve Swain and NSR, we look forward to continuing our partnership with our younger son as well.

- Mark and Evelyn Montanez

"Very knowledgeable of the recruiting process"

Kellie Pernula (volleyball) | Florida Gulf Coast University

Without the help of Steve Swain and National Scouting Report I would not have the opportunity I have today to play volleyball in college. Steve was not only a mentor to me in this process but a friend to me. He is very knowledgeable of the recruiting process and how to help a student athlete find the right school for them academically and athletically. He supported every decision I have made and helped make these decisions clearer to discern. I would not have wished to go through the recruiting process with any other mentor. Steve is not only a knowledgeable scout but he is also personable and dedicated to the success of his student athlete clients. Every time I talk to him he is either at or on his way to a sporting event for his clients and he has attended multiple of my volleyball matches. Before I even thought of questions he was there to answer them and always was in contact with me to help me with every single step, even the minute ones. I cannot thank Steve and NSR enough for getting me to where I am today and I recommend this service to any and every student athlete who is looking into playing a sport in college. NSR is a great service with innumerable amenities and they employ great scouts like Steve Swain who are honestly devoted to making students dreams become realities.

- Kellie Pernula

"Don't wait for your child to get noticed!"

Lauren Howell (volleyball) | Ave Maria University

Steve, I just wanted to take a few minutes to thank you and NSR for all of your help in the recruiting process. Thanks to you and NSR, our daughter, Lauren, has committed to play volleyball for Ave Maria University in the fall of 2015. We couldn't have done it without you. Not only did we learn a lot about the recruiting process, but we were able to find a school that will provide the best environment for our daughter's success. Steve, you have been Lauren's "biggest fan" and a great friend. We are so grateful that you are a part of our lives.

Here's my advice for players and parents. The recruiting process has changed tremendously. Don't wait for your child to "get noticed." You need to take action now, and not wait until Junior year. Many schools are done recruiting by that time.

We signed Lauren up with NSR her sophomore year, and within 2 weeks, she had a website, a skills video, game footage, and pictures posted. Within 3-4 weeks, we were getting emails from coaches. NSR edited our game footage, they sent out recruiting brochures... they saved us so much time and Steve was right there to guide us and keep us on track. He taught our daughter how to be pro-active, how to speak to coaches, how to narrow down her choices.

I would recommend NSR to anyone who wishes to play their sport at the collegiate level. We love you Steve!

"Best exposure possible!"

Quinn Metoyer (football) | Tufts University

We just wanted to let you know that Quinn made a decision to accept early admissions to Tufts University. The coaches are really excited to have him and after all his touring, he felt that Tufts was the best fit for him academically, socially, and where he felt he could provide the best leadership to a football program.

They will forward a financial package after the admission letter and then it will be official. We appreciate the role you have played in helping us understand the process, mentoring Quinn, and providing him with the best exposure possible. He was afforded opportunities we know he would not have had without NSR. I will speak very highly about NSR every chance I get!

"Above and beyond my expectations!"

Michael Kleinman (baseball) | University of Tampa

Just want to say a big THANK YOU for your time, insight, direction and genuine concern displayed in helping my son Michael find a good fit for college baseball! Our family had signed up with National Scouting Report to gain exposure to colleges looking for a good fit for Michael. My initial interest was the connections and ability to communicate with so many college coaches at different levels of play. Not knowing exactly where Michael would fit in division-wise, this to me was a very valuable resource.

Above and beyond my expectations was your involvement and genuine concern for Michael. Your experience, knowledge and great insight into the recruiting process helped us immensely... I highly recommend you and NSR to any family looking to play at the next level... these days, with colleges recruiting so early in the process, it does benefit to get involved as early as possible.

"We met first-rate coaches..."

Joey Saunders (baseball) | Washington College

We can't thank you enough for all of the help we received from you and the National Scouting Report this past year. Your support made the college recruitment and selection process so much less complicated than we had anticipated. Instead of fretting over our son's college choices, we enjoyed the process and celebrated the interest of so many wonderful coaches.

In particular, Joe and I are grateful for the personal interest you took in Joey. The guidance he received from you gave him the confidence to deal directly with the coaches and college officials. Under your supervision, we watched our son mature personally, academically and as a ball player. It meant a great deal to our family, having you show up at so many of Joey's games and tournaments.

Thank you, too, for helping us navigate the workings of college athletics, which allowed us to assist Joey in making his final decision to join the team at Washington College in the fall.

Through the National Scouting Report, we met first-rate coaches interested in having our son play for their teams. We visited several of their colleges and universities and would have been comfortable sending Joey to any of those institutions. When Joey made his final decision, every one of those coaches congratulated our son and offered their support in the future.

The best part of Joey's senior year of high school was knowing he could play baseball in college. Having that decision made during the fall - instead of worrying about it throughout this final high school baseball season - made a world of difference to our son and family.

We look forward to working with you and the National Scouting Report when our daughter enters high school next year.
